【2025 Summer】Green Fluorescent Protein (GFP) Modification Research Project 爱博物
【Project Introduction】
This project is designed for students in Grades 5-7, aiming to cultivate their scientific research interest and experimental skills through fundamental studies in molecular biology and synthetic biology. Under the guidance of a team of frontline research experts, participants will engage in a "theory + experimentation" teaching model. They will systematically learn core concepts such as DNA, gene expression, and protein function, and personally conduct experiments to modify and express the Green Fluorescent Protein (GFP) gene.
▲ In 2008, Japanese scientist Osamu Shimomura, American scientist Martin Chalfie, and Roger Y. Tsien (cousin of Mr. Qian Xuesen's nephew) won the Nobel Prize in Chemistry for the discovery and development of the green fluorescent protein.
