In response to the post-pandemic era, virus detection, and prevention efforts, the IBOWU · JSR instructor team has designed the "Virus Identification and Species Determination Research Project" based on life science practices. The project will provide detailed explanations on topics of widespread concern, such as virus discovery, nucleic acid testing, vaccine development, and specific drug treatments.

Project 2: CRISPR Gene Editing Advanced Customized Research Project
【Project Introduction】
▲ Microinjection is the most challenging precision experimental operation in gene editing experiments.
In this project, students will not only learn about the latest advancements in CRISPR technology but will also be guided by leading research experts from BGI to personally apply CRISPR technology and perform gene editing operations. This hands-on experience will provide an intuitive understanding of this groundbreaking technology, helping students develop a scientific mindset, master scientific working methods, and lay a foundation for future in-depth learning and their own research projects.

Project 3: RNA Nanomedicine R&D Customized Research Project
【Project Introduction】
▲ Experimental process of nanomedicine research and development.
The RNA Nanomedicine Targeted Drug Delivery R&D Customized Research Project will guide students into a key laboratory of a national university to complete a full research process, including design, production, assembly, and efficacy evaluation of nanomedicine. This will allow students to gain an intuitive understanding of the cutting-edge applications of interdisciplinary nanotechnology in the medical field.

Project 4: JSR Advanced Theory Prerequisite Pilot Course
【Project Introduction】
This is an advanced biology research pilot course designed for middle school students, covering multiple aspects of scientific research, including experimental design, literature review, bioethics, data analysis, scientific frontiers, and thesis writing. Through this course, students will not only gain exposure to university-level knowledge but also broaden their academic horizons, ignite their interest and passion for biological sciences, and lay a solid foundation for future long-term academic research projects.

Project 5: JSR Scientific Frontiers Series Course
【Project Introduction】
This course is conducted entirely offline and consists of two main parts: classroom learning and research institution visits. It aims to provide primary and secondary school students with a systematic and practical platform for scientific learning. Through this course, we hope to broaden students' scientific horizons, enhance their practical abilities, and build a practical bridge for their future studies and career development.
