Start with AI to Remake the World—IBOWU · JSR Academy Meets Again at the 5th Tencent Youth Science Conference 爱博物 2025-09-15
From 2019 to 2023, IBOWU · JSR Academy has journeyed five years with the Tencent Youth Science Conference. As the only non-Tencent partner, on August 20, we once again led JSR Academy students to participate in this annual scientific celebration for young people across the country.
As an annual scientific event for national youth, each Tencent Youth Science Conference invites globally renowned scientists to provide authoritative and engaging interpretations of the year’s scientific events. The goal is to inspire Chinese youth to pay attention to scientific topics, guiding them to view scientists as new idols and scientific exploration as a new trend.
This year’s conference, themed "Remake the World with AI," featured five industry leaders in artificial intelligence and programming, who shared their cutting-edge insights and global perspectives with all the young attendees.
The 2023 Tencent Youth Science Conference was divided into morning and afternoon sessions. In the morning, JSR Academy students engaged in face-to-face interactions with scientists. The students raised questions about AI that concerned them, such as whether AI will replace humans in the future and what knowledge they should prioritize learning to prepare for the AI era. The scientists’ responses not only addressed these queries but also sparked deeper reflection among the students.
During the afternoon session, JSR Academy students visited Tsinghua University, where they attended TED-style talks by top scientists and participated in in-depth interactions with them.
During President Wang Yuanzhuo’s TED talk, he showcased artwork created by JSR Academy students for "The Wandering Earth 3" and engaged in meaningful discussions with them.
Throughout the day, countless sparks of curiosity and excitement converged into an ocean of enthusiasm. Every question and thought seemed to find an answer or gain new direction. On the historic grounds of Tsinghua University, the spirit of youth and the soul of science collided, hinting at a bright future for China’s technological advancements. Young dreamers guarded their scientific aspirations and pursued innovation with unwavering determination.
In 2019, JSR students attended the Tencent Youth Science Conference for the first time.
Each Tencent Youth Science Conference is not just an academic event but also a promise between youth and the future. Over five years of collaboration, IBOWU · JSR Academy and the Tencent Youth Science Conference have together paved a broad path for scientific exploration among Chinese youth. Facing the future, we do not fear the rapid development of AI because we understand that true power lies not in technology itself but in humanity’s understanding and application of science and technology.
In 2021, JSR students served as scientist assistants at the Tencent Youth Science Conference.
Over these five years, every student’s growth, every scientist’s sharing, and every interaction have left a profound mark on the river of time. Here, every young person represents hope for the future, and every dream deserves respect and anticipation.
May every participating student bravely pursue their dreams in the days to come, using science and wisdom to impact the world. May technology better serve humanity, and may love and hope spread farther and deeper.
