    【Project Upgrade】
Building upon IBOWU's classic CRISPR gene editing program in fish, this edition has been enhanced with updated experimental content and project design, aligning with cutting-edge trends in gene therapy. The project now utilizes viral vectors for gene editing, enabling students to study and research CRISPR/Cas9-based gene therapy.

Gene therapy using viral vectors is one of the most advanced approaches in the field today. Dozens of such therapies have been approved globally, demonstrating promising results in treating diseases once considered incurable.

    【Project Introduction】

Cornell University geneticist John Schimenti once remarked that, throughout his scientific career, he has witnessed two major technological advancements: PCR technology and CRISPR gene editing technology.

PCR technology, developed in 1985, revolutionized genetic engineering by enabling gene amplification. The emergence of CRISPR technology promises to bring even more profound changes to the life sciences.

▲Activating CRISPR-Cas9 Protein via Guide RNA Binding

As a leading gene editing technology, CRISPR/Cas9 is recognized for its efficiency and precision in editing genes within living cells. It allows for targeted deletion, insertion, or modification of specific DNA segments. Advances in gene editing technology hold the potential to eradicate human diseases, create hardier plants, and eliminate pathogens.
